| BridgeComm is not the only private venture looking to establish optical networks for space applications. This schematic from LeoSat illustrates its plan to launch a constellation of between 78 and 108 low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, each with four optical links. HySpecIQ is aiming to launch only two LEO satellites, each of which will generate hyperspectral imaging data that can be quickly transmitted to a ground station and sold commercially.
