| The light source inside each EUV lithography tool built by ASML is hugely complex. Based around 40 kW CO2 lasers provided by key partner Trumpf, the sources generate just 250W of EUV light, but that is enough to pattern silicon wafers at a sufficiently high throughput for economic operation.
