Willow: the flexible future?
Corning's "Willow" glass is just 0.1mm thick but can be produced in a roll-to-roll process - meaning that low-cost, 300m-long "rolls" of the paper-thin material can be produced in meter-wide dimensions. Indium tin oxide-coated versions of Willow glass can be produced at half that width. Credit: Corning.
