Newport buys Corning's commercial bulk optics

Newport Corporation has acquired the commercial optics operation of Corning OCA Inc, a subsidiary of Corning Inc. The business will remain in Corning's Garden Grove facility, and Newport's existing optics operations will also move there.

Corning OCA retains both its advanced photonics technologies and its coatings and packaging business units.
