Electronics fair puts displays on show

World of Display Technology, described as a fair within a fair, will appear for the first time at the ElectronicAsia 99 trade show at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12 to 15 October 1999.

Messe Muenchen, which runs the electronics exhibition says that the new event will "create a unique platform for the display industry in Asia". Almost 50 per cent of the world's electronics components are sold to Asian companies and many buyers consider displays to be electronic rather than optical components. JB
