DRS to provide emergency avionics systems for Canadian CP-140 aircraft

DRS Flight Safety and Communications (Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada), a subsidiary of DRS Technologies, Inc. (Parsippany, New Jersey) has been awarded a contract from the Canadian Department of National Defence to supply the DRS Emergency Avionics Systems 3000F to Canada's CP-140 long-range maritime patrol aircraft. The EAS-3000F will replace the existing flight data acquisition unit, flight data/cockpit voice recorder, and emergency locator beacon in the planes and is the first award for DRS in the EAS-3000F product line.
