Elbit, Avioane Craiova will provide fighter training program for Romanian Air Force

Elbit Systems Ltd. (Haifa, Israel) and Avioane Craiova SA (Craiova, Romania) will provide the IAR-99 SOIM trainers program for the Romanian Air Force. The IAR-99 incorporates an advanced avionics suite with communication, navigation and identification systems, multi-mode radar training capability, and an electronic warfare suite. The first 24 trainers for the SOIM fighers will be provided by the year 2001.
