Comtech receives Canadian award for digital troposcatter system

The Comtech Systems, Inc., unit of Comtech Telecommunications Corp. has been awarded a contract for the engineering, supply, and installation of a digital troposcatter communications link connecting the power production facility of a major Canadian utility with a major power switching site. The system will include Comtech's 2 GHZ quadruple diversity digital radio, its digital adaptive modem, power control to eliminate interference, and a quality performance monitor. The troposcatter communications link provides 4 Mb/sec digital capacity to carry voice and data as well as link monitoring and control information.
