@Entertainment, Canal+ Polska agree to develop and operate digital DTH television

Telewizyna Korporacja Partycypacyjna (TKP), the parent company of Canal+ Polska, has signed a binding letter of intent with @Entertainment, Inc., to provide for the joint development and operation of a digital direct-to-home (DTH) television service for the Polish market. The transaction, contingent on approval by the Polish media authority KKRIT and other regulatory agencies, would give @Entertainment's Polish subsidiary DTC Productions SpZoo a 40% share interest in TKP while TKP will purchase the pay-TV assets of @Entertainment and assume existing contracts and obligations. The new digital platform will also be open to other Polish investors.
