SDL selects Camstar's execution system for GaAs fab

SDL, Inc, has selected Camstar Sytstems Inc.'s MESA manufacturing execution system for use in its gallium arsenide laser diode fab. SDL, which designs, manufactures, and sells semiconductor lasers, optoelectronic integrated circuits, and system and fiber optic related components, will use MESA to enhance visibility at each manufacturing step, providing detailed tracking of material and equipment usage while recording all work in process inventory.
