Sanders to provide missile warning systems for U.K. helicopters

Sanders, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, will provide its AN/AAR-57(V) Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) to GEC Marconi Avionics (GMAv) Defence Systems Division to protect the British Army's WAH-64 Longbow Apache Helicopters against advanced heat-seeking missile threats. Sanders will deliver 58 CMWS sets, spares, data, and logistics support, with each set including an electronic control unit to process threat data and four passive electro-optical missile sensors being produced by Lockheed Martin Infrared Imaging Systems.
