Polaroid acquires laser ablation patents

Polaroid Graphics Imaging has acquired patents for technologyoriginally held by Rexam for laser ablation transfer technology. The technology, along with Polaroid's fiber laser, form thefoundation for Polaroid's digital proofing system which replicatesthe ink pigments, paper stock, and half-tone dots on the finalpress sheet.
