Gryphon Optics unleashed

Gryphon Optics, Inc., a new company for the manufacture of diffractive optics, made its debut last month among lasers and optics professionals at the SPIE Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado. Gryphon Optics will provide optical design and analysis, diffractive and micro-refractive optical components and assemblies. Diffractive optics have applications in industrial and medical laser materials processing; laser diagnostic, scanning, and telecommunications systems; gas laser and diode laser beam shaping; and conventional optics aberration correction. Gryphon Optics' President Paul Fileger is presently implementing plans for a new manufacturing facility to be located in Huntsville, Alabama.
