Thermo Vision acquires Oriel Instruments

Thermo Vision has acquired Oriel Instruments, a leader in instruments and components for research with light. Thermo Vision is a subsidiary of Thermo Optek, a group within Thermo Electron, that uses optical technology for analysis. Oriel, headquartered in Stratford, CT, will continue to develop its electro-optical product line for the production and measurement, a spokesman for the company said. The Thermo Vision family also includes Corion, CID Technologies, Hilger Crystal Materials, and Scientific Measurement Systems.
