The home theater product category scored its best year in 1995 and proved to be the strongest growth sector in the electronics industry behind home office products, according to the Consumer Electronics Manufacturing Association (CEMA). Over 10 million home theater systems were sold in 1995, a 150 percent jump from the 4.2 million sold in 1994.
