| Pleased to report a delay: False-colored and distorted SEM image of IBM's optical delay line composed of up to 100 micro-rings in an all-pass filter configuration. This optical buffer is able to store up to 10 bits in an area of only 0.03mm2 equivalent to 10% the storage area density of a conventional floppy disk. |
