1762nm Tm-doped Fibre Amplifier for Barium Ion Excitation | |
04 Apr 2024 The 1762nm series of optical amplifiers is ideal for quantum computing applications in the manipulation and control of barium ion based optical qubits, a leading candidate to replace Ytterbium based systems to achieve higher reliability qubit readout performance in quantum computers. The PERSEUS-1762 is a broadband (1730-1950nm) tm-fibre amplifier with power stability <3%(RMS), available in an OEM booster SKYLINE housing with output powers up to 2W and OSNR of 45dB, or in a rack mountable benchtop housing with output powers up to 3W and OSNR of 50dB. Fibre lasers, amplifiers and ASE sources are also available for 1um, 1.5um and 2um with output powers reaching up to 30W. In addition to the 1762nm Barium ion shelving and readout, applications include quantum sensing, deep tissue imaging, optical molecule sensing (H2O, HCI, CH2) and LiDAR.
