19 Mar 2024 LASER COMPONENTS offers Bessel lens assemblies which are used to form non-diffractive Bessel laser beams, consisting of two concentric rings of equal power. Bessel lens assemblies consist of an axicon and a pair of focussing lenses. The ring diameter may be changed with focal depth, while the ring thickness remains the same.
These optical assemblies are commonly used in laser material processing applications where cutting and deep drilling require high precision and efficiency due to the long depth of focus and small spot size provided. Bessel beams are well suited to cutting steel and glass.
We offer a range of standard Bessel lenses at different wavelengths and focal lengths. We are happy to produce custom assemblies to suit all applications.
