All-Around Protection and Comfort for Handheld Laser Welding | |
20 Feb 2024 The MASTR laser welding helmet from Univet, which is distributed by LASER COMPONENTS, offers comfortable all-around protection, especially when working with handheld laser welding equipment: It protects the user not only from the dangers that arise with classic types of welding (welding arc, metal spatter, UV light) but also from the dangerous laser radiation that can permanently damage the eyes and face. The MASTR is made of a high-quality composite material that has been specially developed for this purpose. In addition to classic anti-glare protection provided by an auto-darkening filter (ADF), it also has a laser filter to protect against harmful laser radiation. At 700g, it is truly lightweight and does not affect the welder even during long periods of use. Due to the adjustable headband and variable height and tilt adjustment options, the helmet can be individually adapted to each user. The MASTR is the only laser welding helmet on the market that is fully certified in accordance with all laser and occupational safety standards. Most other manufacturers are content to certify only the front area according to the laser standard. The MASTR helmet complies with the CE-EN166, CE-EN175, ISO 16321-2, ANSI Z87.1, CSA Z94.3, and DIN EN207 regulations on all sides. “When developing the MASTR, Univet set itself the goal of creating a helmet that not only meets the highest safety standards but also considers the comfort and needs of the user,” says Alexandra Bahr, product engineer for laser safety products at LASER COMPONENTS. “With this helmet, which as a whole fulfills the European occupational safety and laser safety requirements, this goal was achieved outstandingly well.” Further information Laser Welding Helmet MASTR - Laser Safety Eyewear (lasercomponents.com) |
