28 Sep 2023 LASER COMPONENTS offers UV filters down to 200nm, commonly used in several UV applications from photolithography to fluorescence microscopy to sterilisation. Bandpass, short pass, long pass and notch filters are all available in the UV range with off the shelf standard filters and custom capabilities offered.
Our UV filters block up to 1150nm with optical density above OD4, with peak transmission above 20%. Special processes allow for some UV filters to offer exceptionally high transmission above 50% (typically 70%) in the UV up to approx. 250nm. In such cases only the visible spectrum is blocked.
We also offer special reflectors for UV sterilisation. They suppress the wavelength range above 230nm and reflect UV radiation of smaller wavelengths for destroying bacteria and viruses.
