Rapid Production of Optimised Non-Browning Lens for Radiation Tolerant Camera | |

Adapting an exisiting design has enabled Resolve Optics to quickly produce a compact, optimised 16mm focal length fixed focus non-browning lens for a leading nuclear systems integrator.
The customer required a 16mm focal length radiation resistant lens which is not part of Resolve Optics standard range of fixed focus non browning lenses. An added requirement from the nuclear systems integrator was that they needed the lens to fit within a small footprint so they could use it without any modifications, in their existing radiation tolerant camera housing.

Our customer is delighted as the new optimised lens fits seamlessly into their existing camera housing without need any modification”.
Designed to provide uncompromised performance in a 2/3-inch format radiation tolerant camera - the new 16mm focal length fixed focus lens delivers high image resolution (f2) and minimal geometric distortion from 400 – 750 nm.
Manufactured to the highest quality standards from cerium doped glass, the new customer specified lens can withstand radiation exposure of up to 100 kGy (100,000,000 rads) and temperatures up to 55 degrees centigrade without discoloration.
