Particularly popular for use as protective housing for drones and vision system cameras – where protection of electronic sensor systems and expensive fish-eye lenses from harsh liquid and gas environments is essential – our premium-quality, custom-made Optical Domes offer high transmission (in the visible and near-infrared [NIR] spectrums) and supreme toughness for applications operating in harsh environments; all while providing a 360º viewport.

As well as an extensive range of stock, we also offer Optical Domes as a custom-made component for a range of applications, such as drones and camera housing. Whether you're looking for large or small Domes, clear or filtered options; our tailored solutions enable you to specify the substrates, tolerances, coatings and dimensions suitable for your project. Available from 5 to 200mm in diameter, and 0.25 to 10mm in thickness, our Optical Domes provide you with high transmission and extreme durability in harsh environments.

Schott N-BK7 (or equivalent) or NBK10 for visible applications
UV Grade Fused Silica for UV applications
Silicon for 3-5 micron in the Mid-IR band
Germanium for 7-14 micron Longwave-IR band
Sapphire
PMMA Acrylic.
