22 Mar 2022 Our featured long-wave infrared (LWIR) assemblies have effective focal lengths of 35 mm and 50 mm, with an f/1.1 aperture optimized for 640 x 480 x 0.012 bolometers. These athermal lenses perform from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius with minimal degradation in image quality. The pure germanium optics exhibit the preferred image uniformity versus a similar chalcogenide optic. We offer moderate abrasion-resistant coatings along with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coatings for applications which require superior abrasion resistance. MILSpec compliance testing is performed for our ZnSe, ZnS, Ge, Si, Diamond and Calcogenide optical products.
We offer the broadest product offerings in the IR optics industry for infrared optics and build-to-print assemblies, specializing in crystalline optics for defense, commercial and instrumentation applications. Our crystal material products, optical designs and coatings allow for increased transmission and reflection to refine the spectral region of interest from 2-50 um for in-the-field dependability on traditionally difficult to handle materials. In addition, Spectral offers unparalleled expertise in processing hygroscopic materials in volume.
When you collaborate with our team, you garner the peace of mind that comes from decades of experience and a 99% acceptance rate on shipped parts. As an Omega Optical Holdings Division, we can offer our lens assembly customers additional capabilities that support IR applications, including access to some of the top coating engineers in the industry for Aerospace and Defense, instrumentation, semiconductor and commercial IR needs.
We have the comprehensive capabilities to provide optical solutions for the entire infrared range; no one else can cover the IR spectrum better than Spectral Systems.
