Laser 1000 series – Tunable Laser Source

LASER COMPONENTS offers the tunable Laser 1000 series from Quantifi Photonics, with a narrow linewidth (100kHz) and a tunability of 0.01pm resolution.  This tunable laser source is available in C-band and L-band and provide a high-power output up to 16.5dBm.

The small footprint enables customers to stack for benchtop units, and so minimising space in the lab.  A single slot PXIe module is also available and other products can be added on, such as VOA, optical switch, or optical power meter.

Our MATRIQ platform offers USB and Ethernet communication for simple setup and operation.  The graphic user interface (CohesionUI) allows remote control of the instruments via a PC or mobile phone.

This unit covering the full range of DWDM channels in C or L band is ideal for communications applications.  The user may choose to use polarisation maintaining (PM) fibre or standard single mode fibre (SMF).  The slow axis of polarisation is aligned with the output connector key as per industry standards.

If the application requires a narrowest linewidth, the unit has an option for whisper mode to temporarily disable the laser control frequency dither.
