Knight Optical's Wedge Prisms are employed for a diverse range of applications in a variety of industries. One such usage is in forestry applications. Within this sector, Wedge Prisms can be used in a similar fashion to an angle gauge – with regards to plotting the basal area of a group of trees. Furthermore – in a more general application – our Wedge Prisms are also commonly specified in beam steering technologies for use within the forestry industry's laser-based devices.

Typically, Wedge Prisms are thin in formation with nearly parallel input and output faces. Our stock range of wedge prisms are available in N-BK7 (or equivalent) substrates for visible and near-infrared (NIR) applications.
