Knight Optical’s Visible Sheet Polarisers for Consumer Electronics

Commonly specified for consumer electronics such as LCD monitors, TVs, cameras and lighting and entertainment devices – including projectors – our Visible Sheet Polarisers are recognised within the electronics sector for their long-lasting qualities.

As the name suggests, Linear Sheet Polarisers linearly polarise light. What's more, they have the ability to block polarised light in the opposite direction. The liquid crystals act like a wave-plate, rotating the polarisation axis, allowing them to control the amount of light from each pixel. Our Linear Sheet Polarisers enable various levels of light from a randomly polarised source to pass through the sheet (22-50%). Plus, they have differing extinction percentages; which can be tailored to your application's requirements.

As well as a vast range of stock, we also offer Visible Sheet Polarisers as custom-made optics. By using this service, not only can you choose the shape and size of your components; but you can also specify the substrate, tolerance and optical coatings best suited to your application.
