European-wide Alliance - LASER COMPONENTS Becomes a Member of the Mid IR Alliance

As a member of the Mid IR Alliance, the LASER COMPONENTS Group aims to actively shape the future of all technologies that use the mid-infrared wavelength range (approx. 3,000nm to 15,000nm).

As part of an initiative of the industrial association EPIC, European companies from the entire supply chain have joined forces in the Mid IR Alliance. In addition to component manufacturers such as LASER COMPONENTS, this alliance includes manufacturers of mid-IR cameras, integrated optical circuits, and software solutions for modelling and packaging services.

“The mid-IR market is booming,” says Sven Schreiber, head of sales of LASER COMPONENTS. “Spectroscopic processes are now not only found in laboratories and medical technology. Agriculture, the automotive industry, and aerospace are just a few examples of industries in which such technologies are gaining a stronger foothold. The Mid IR Alliance connects manufacturers and users, creating synergies from which everyone benefits.”
