Ultra Low-Profile Retroreflectors | |
08 Jun 2021 Ultra low-profile retroreflectors (ULPRs) are a new development by the US manufacturer PLX. They are around 36% lighter than conventional reflectors and are manufactured in sizes ranging from 12.7mm to 125mm. With their round design, they can be optimally integrated into bores, as well as mirror and optical mounts. Despite all these features, these lightweight products still meet all the requirements of the aerospace industry. Like all PLX products, they are extremely resistant to temperature fluctuations, vibrations, and shocks. The manufacturer offers a wide range of metal coatings for its ULPRs, covering wavelengths from the UV at 225nm to the IR at 20µm. These components are used in applications such as rangefinders, spectroscopes, and FTIR interferometers. Individual coatings and designs can be carried out upon customer request. LASER COMPONENTS’ is the exclusive distributor of PLX’s products for the German-speaking region of the world and the United Kingdom.
