Offering a high refractive index and an excellent infrared (IR) transmission range, covering from 1.8-16µm, our stock and custom-made IR Germanium Windows are sought-after components for high-specification thermal imaging and night vision applications.
Offered in a range of customised sizes and shapes, Knight Optical’s top-of-the-range Germanium Windows are well-suited to a wide variety of IR applications. With a broad transmission range, as well as their opacity in the visible region of the spectrum, our Germanium Windows are not specified for integration with IR sensors, medical applications and pyrometry applications but also with IR imaging systems and thermographic cameras.
Ideally suited to thermal imaging and night vision applications, our Windows typically operate in the 2µm to 14µm spectral range, covering the long wavelength infrared (LWIR) [8-12μm] and mid-wave infrared (MWIR) [3-5μm] thermal imaging wavelength range.
What’s more, our Germanium Windows are available with tailor-made optical coatings to meet project-specific applications, and in diameters up to 300mm.
