Sizes range from 0.5mm to 28mm diameter and with options also available in square or rectangular format. Our photovoltaic devices are optimised for high sensitivity and moderate speeds. These silicon photodiodes have a typical spectral response range from 350 to 1100nm and special versions can be offered optimised for sensitivity in the range 350 to 550nm. For higher speed applications our photoconductive variants are more suitable. Typical response times of 10ns to 250ns are achievable with 10V reverse bias.
A variety of different packages are offered ranging from simple plastic packages to hermetically sealed TO cans. We can even incorporate spectral filters into the packages to further optimise them for your application.
