Axon: Compact Femtosecond Lasers for Imaging, Metrology, and Nanofabrication | |
27 May 2020 With a small footprint and delivered at a breakthrough cost point, the new Axon family of fixed wavelength, air-cooled femtosecond lasers reduces complexity while delivering the optimum performance for both OEM integrators and end users. Axon features wavelengths at 920 and 1064 nm, which are ideal for two-photon imaging of green and red fluorescent probes and calcium sensors. All models feature built in dispersion precompensation to optimize peak power at the plane of interest. The compact head can be mounted in any orientation and has a long umbilical range, giving integrators unprecedented flexibility for their design. Two photon microscope developers benefit further from the optional integrated fast power control option, all within the same head design, saving valuable table space and reducing system complexity and price. Additional wavelengths are in development, supporting the latest developments in fluorescent probes and other key applications such as 2 photon nanofabrication, Terahertz spectroscopy and metrology.
