Knight Optical can offer Borosilicate Windows for use within Optical Systems.

We supply a range of Borosilicate Windows for a range of applications. All individually QA checked and metrology tested for quality to ensure parts meet customer specification. Supplied in a range of sizes and shapes with custom coatings tailored to meet your individual applications.

Knight Optical supply precision optical components to customers with Optical Systems. We offer two grades of low expansion borosilicate windows, float, and polished grade.

Borosilicate windows are used in applications where they are exposed to the elements as borosilicate has excellent chemical and thermal-shock resistance and has a maximum working temperature of 500°C. They’re used in high powered light source applications and they are an excellent choice for cold and hot mirror substrates. Borosilicate windows can also be a good substrate for optical flats, as it maintains its flatness in different temperatures.

All our Borosilicate Windows are fully inspected on their quality in our ISO 9001 certified, state-of-the-art Metrology laboratory using our Zygo Verifire Interferometer and our Trioptics PrismMaster. This allows us to work to the highest QA standards and meet the tolerance specifications on these precision components.
