The extremely sensitive detectors are capable of detecting light levels down to single photons and indeed our Geiger-mode APDs and photon counting modules are very popular. We also offer APD drive electronics and modules which operate in linear mode. Our A-CUBE module is ideal for customers wishing to experiment with APDs or develop prototype instrumentation. Featuring a low noise Silicon or InGaAs APD with matched preamplifier, integrated high voltage supply and temperature compensation circuitry, the A-CUBE module is a simple way to evaluate our APD capability. Customers can choose from a range of different APD diameters (200µm to 3mm) and amplifier bandwidths (DC to 240MHz). An optional fibre connector can also be offered, providing a convenient method for sampling from a multimode optical fibre.
