Knight Optical’s Sapphire Windows for Infrared (IR) Systems

Highly sought-after for applications using the infrared (IR) wavelength – such as forward-looking infrared (FLIR) systems and thermography – our Sapphire Window range comprises three varieties; Random Cut, Fluorescence-Free and C-Cut/Z-Cut. What's more, as well as a wide range of stock (including sizes from 5mm to 300mm diameter and between 0.5mm – 15mm thick), we also offer Sapphire Windows as custom-made optics, meaning your application benefits from made-to-measure components for optimum performance and high precision when you order through Knight Optical.

By opting for Knight Optical's custom-made components, not only can you make the most of our 28 years of optical experience, but you can also specify the dimensions, thicknesses and coatings suited to your application.

As well as a vast range of window options, we also offer Sapphire (Al2O3) substrates in a variety of component styles including Lenses, Prisms and Blanks for all types of applications – from the ultraviolet (UV) and visible spectrums through to the Infrared (IR), NIR (0.9 to 1.5µm) and Mid-Waveband Infra-Red (MWIR, 3 to 5µm) wavebands. For IR-specific applications, we also offer Sapphire Optics over wavebands of 0.2 to 5µm.
