Optics for Optical Particle Counters | |
12 Mar 2020 Optical particle counters use the principle of light scattering to detect particles above a certain size. These instruments are typically employed by environmental engineers to measure particulate pollutants in the exhausts of factories and the atmosphere. Depending on the system, a particle counter would consist of some collimation lenses and a reflector suitable for use in a light scattering or a vision-based particle counting system. LASER COMPONENTS can provide a range of precision lenses from BK7 and UV fused silica. These materials offer high transmission between 500nm-1100nm (the spectrum most optical counters operate). Reflectors can be provided in glass and polymers with a range of highly durable and highly reflective coatings. Further information https://www.lasercomponents.com/uk/optics/laser-optics/ |
