UV Fused Silica Windows

With excellent chemical stability and superior UV transmission (down to 175nm), our cost-effective UV Fused Silica Windows are manufactured in a Corning 7980 Grade 2G substrate (equivalent to Spectrosil 2000 – also referred to as Spectrosil B). Available from our wide-ranging portfolio of stock components, or as custom-made optics, our UV Fused Silica Windows are capable of meeting a wide range of specifications. Thanks to Knight Optical's customised capabilities, our UV Fused Silica Windows can be manufactured in project-specific shapes and sizes and coated with custom optical coatings to meet the exact requirements of your project.

Quartz Windows

More robust than standard glass window varieties, our Quartz Windows are ideal for optical systems working in the UV spectrum (down to around 260nm). With a high transmission of over 80% from 260nm to 2500nm and a heat resistance of up to 1050°C, Quartz Windows are a prime choice of components for optical systems exposed to high temperatures. Similar to our UV Fused Silica Windows, our Quartz Windows are available from stock, via our website for next-day dispatch, or as a custom-made Window for seamless integration with your optical system. What's more, IR Grade Fused Quartz can be used in place of Quartz if your application requires transmission from 2500 to 3500nm.
