Helios™ Time of Flight Camera Featuring Sony’s DepthSense™ ToF Technology

Helios is a compact, high precision, industrial 3D camera that integrates Sony’s new DepthSense™ IMX556PLR back-illuminated ToF image sensor. The camera delivers 640 x 480 depth resolution at a 6m working distance using four 850nm VCSEL laser diodes. On-camera processing provides range, intensity and confidence data which reduces the need for expensive host system components. A robust design with an M12 Ethernet connector and up to 100m cable length makes the camera ideal for a variety of factory and warehouse environments.

Featuring Sony’s advanced depth sensing ToF technology, the Helios camera provides superior depth precision compared to existing ToF solutions on the market. Its compact form factor, industrial reliability and attractive price point will enable many 3D applications such as 3D inspection, automated material handling and robotics to run more efficiently while reducing overall system cost.
