08 Nov 2019 Sheet polarizer is formed by a polarizing film sandwiched in two protective glass plates. By the use of dichroic dye film, a good linear polarization can be obtained in a wide range. In addition to polarization characteristics, the polarizing film has the amount of light loss due to absorption.
Sheet polarizer can be used in the basic polarization experiments which does not require the high precision, and for the light intensity adjustment. Due to the polarizing film is heat sensitive, it can’t be used under high power lasers or high temperature light source.
