18 Oct 2017 Bullseye® Apodizing filters are used to eliminate intensity variations in optical systems. Inserting a variable transmission filter at the aperture stop will modify the diffraction pattern of a lens. The reduced transmission at the center of the aperture will favor performances at high frequencies, while reducing transmission at the edge will favor low-frequency performance. There are two types of Bullseye® Apodizing filters: Clear Center, where the Gaussian density distribution increases in a radial direction from the center to edge and Dark Center, where the density increases from the edge to the center of the substrate |
