Broadband Variable Laser Beam Attenuators | |
25 May 2017 EKSMA Optics has introduced new broadband attenuators designed for high energy femtosecond laser pulses. Variable attenuators / beamsplitters consist of precision opto-mechanics and high performance optical components, dividing laser beam into two parallel beams of adjustable intensity ratio. Attenuators use two thin film polarizers operating at 70° angle of incidence, which reflect s-polarized light while transmitting p-polarized light. The angle of incidence can be adjusted by ±2° to achieve the maximum polarization contrast. Broadband variable attenuators feature:
