Dichroic Filters from Knight Optical

Long-pass, short-pass, band-pass, oh my! There are a wealth of options when choosing a dichroic filter. One thing you can be assured of is performance. Knight Optical's dichroic filter range offer fantastic transmission and reflective properties, greater than 95% across the visible and into the near-infrared spectrum. Dichroic filters can be utilized in almost any optical system but they have certainly found a home for life in fluorescence spectroscopy. The high transmission of dichroic filters ensures the energy from your excitation light source is not wasted in absorption or reflection and any light emitted from your sample is transmitted through to the rest of the system. Another widespread but often overlooked use for dichroic filters is in the lighting and entertainment industry. By using a broadband white light source and changing dichroic filters one is able to create colour changing, rave inducing effects!

Our dichroic filters are easy to incorporate into your system. We stock sheets up to 425mm diameter with over 125 coating options.  We can customize the dimensions of our stock filter range, length, width and diameter, with a rapid turn-around time.  Because dichroic filters are achieved through performance coatings they can be offered on almost any substrate. Our customers often opt for a thinner substrate than our stock 1.1mmTHK. Going down to as low as 0.35mmTHK.
