The Laser Quantum gem vs. the Range Rover | |
11 Aug 2016 Laser Quantum has recently released a video demonstrating the robustness and reliability of the gem laser under extreme conditions. It was run over by a Range Rover – does the gem survive? The gem vs. the Range Rover, the first in the video series in which Laser Quantum test its lasers in extreme conditions, outside the laboratory, to highlight the robustness and ruggedness of all its lasers. Laser Quantum manufacture a range oflasers covering 473 to 1064 nm wavelengths and up to 16 W of output power, all of which undergo to a series of standard 1200 g drop tests in the Laser Quantum quality testing laboratory, prior to power output testing and shipping. The series focuses on the gem, the ideal test subject to be put to the challenge against these unconventional, non-standard testing procedures, but it is representative of the entire continuous wave laser range. Can the gem laser survive the impact, force and weight of a Range Rover and still stay in specification? Click here to watch ‘The Laser Quantum gem vs. the Range Rover’ now to find out. Future videos will be released which set to put the gem through its paces in different environmental settings to test its capabilities.
