High Volume Camera Module Assembly

With ProCam® Inline TRIOPTICS offers a fully automated and modular manufacturing line for active alignment, assembly and testing of camera modules for mass production.

The system aligns the sensor with the camera optics in up to six degrees of freedom with sub-micron/sub-arcmin accuracy. The components are focused, centered, tilt-adjusted and rotated to one another during one single alignment step. An integrated adhesive and curing solution ensures a fast and precise procedure.

The complete process of camera module manufacturing is covered by a customizable concept with process steps involving handling, incoming control, cleaning, dispensing, gluing, aligning, curing, end-of-line testing, and sorting. By using exchangeable assembly jigs, multiple camera module types can be manufactured within one instrument. With this solution it is possible to maximize the performance of camera modules and increase the output at the same time.

The ProCam® product portfolio includes measurement systems with test charts for applications with finite object distance, as well as innovative solutions with collimators for infinite and variable object distances. Motorized focusing collimators make it possible to use software-controlled infinite and finite object distance configurations in the same measurement application. Finally, testing in very wide field of view configurations (up to 180°) is possible with this technology.
