12 Apr 2016 The MWIR 28-850mm F/5.5 lens is designed for use in demanding UAV applications and offers a motorized adjustable continuous zoom with extremely accurate boresight retention. With a 30 times zoom the lens offers the ability to see objects at long ranges even when the UAV is operating at up to 40,000 feet.
Compact, just 10 inches in diameter, and weighing 4.6 Kg, the 28-850mm F/5.5 lens offers UAV payload designers and operators a larger range of design and operational possibilities than heavier, older lenses.
The 28-850mm F/5.5 lens offers the ability to detect objects at 21.3 Km, to recognize them at 10.8Km and to identify at 7.7 Km.
