Filters for Astronomy - CILAS

03 Nov 2015

After many years of developing filters for telescope instruments with the support of prestigious institutes, CILAS is proud to introduce complex Astronomy filters as catalog products.

Being aware of the constraints in manufacturing such filters, which usually require high transmittance in a small bandwidth but also high rejection within a wide spectral range, CILAS took a step forward industrializing these complex components.

CILAS uses Ion Assisted Deposition or Dual Ion Beam Sputtering technologies, located in 900sqm clean room from ISO8 to ISO5 to produce components with the highest environmental expectations. In addition, thanks to in situ real-time optical monitoring, the production repeatability is guaranteed.

Filters are available for useful diameters up to 100mm, they can be mounted on a filters wheel, or also be sliced and assembled using photolithography patterns.

For more information regarding our filter types, please visit CILAS website at www.cilas.com, or contact us at optics@cilas.com.
