Lambert Instruments Announces the Next Generation of its Time-Resolved Intensified Camera

01 Oct 2015

Lambert Instruments is proud to announce the next generation of its time-resolved intensified camera. The new TRiCAM is designed for scientific and industrial applications that require low-light imaging. It features a fast sensor, a high-performance image intensifier, and a redesigned aluminum enclosure.

The sensor in the new TRiCAM captures up to 160 frames per second at full resolution, and it can reach over 1000 fps at reduced resolution. Thanks to its electronic global shutter readout method, the sensor reads out all 2.3 million pixels at the same time. This prevents rolling shutter effects and ensures optimal image quality.

Fiber-optically attached to the sensor is a high-performance image intensifier. This incredibly perceptive intensifier boosts the incoming light, allowing you to capture detailed images in the most challenging light conditions.

The built-in electronics offer a wide range of functionalities. Ultra-fast gating enables exposure times down to 3 nanoseconds. By precisely timing these exposures, the TRiCAM can be used for applications like time-gated luminescence and laser-induced fluorescence. With modulation frequencies up to 120 MHz, the TRiCAM is also ideal for a wide range of frequency-domain applications.

The aluminum enclosure of the TRiCAM has been redesigned from scratch. While remaining as compact as before, the TRiCAM can now be configured with an 18 mm intensifier or a 25 mm intensifier. It is compatible with both C-mount and F-mount input, and the standard tripod thread.

The TRiCAM is available with a USB3 or Ethernet interface. To provide optimal integration with your existing setup, it supports USB3 Vision and GigE machine vision standards.
