Laser Quantum’s Product Launch

Between June 22^nd-25^th at the Messe München in Munich, Laser Quantum exhibited and launched two new products.  Alongside the continuous wave lasers; a range with a variety of wavelengths, power and performances, Laser Quantum added two new products to their ever expanding ultra-fast femtosecond range. The taccor comb – the first commercially available frequency comb based on plug and play Ti:Sapphire laser technology. As the market-leader in 1GHz Ti:sapphire lasers, Laser Quantum has now developed this technology into the turn-key, hermetically sealed 1GHz taccor comb, opening a new era in powerful and stable frequency combs. The taccor comb is particularly applicable in metrology and spectrographic applications due to the unique 1GHz mode spacing and up to 1W of average power. It allows easy and high power access to the visible and NIR spectral ranges at mode power levels otherwise not achieved by other technologies.

The taccor x10 is a turn-key femtosecond laser with a unique 10GHz repetition rate, delivering up to 1W of average power in pulses as short as 50fs. It is designed into a compact, hermetically sealed, vibrational resistant laser head. The taccor x10 is a highly stable and reproducible product with long lifetimes and low cost of ownership, with a standard 3 year/9000 hour warranty.

The key feature of the taccor x10 is its 10 GHz repetition rate which, when used for frequency comb generation, enables separation of the individual modes with a simple grating spectrometer. This enables a new class of applications with the taccor x10 including resolved mode spectroscopy, low-noise microwave generation, astrocombs and arbitrary waveform generation.
