11 Jun 2015 MÖLLER-WEDEL OPTICAL GmbH has extended the range of test field diameters to the domain of mm-sized flat optical surfaces. The new Fizeau-type MICRO-INTERFEROMETER VI direct is able to measure the surface flatness of optical parts from 3.6 mm down to 0.8 mm. The cost effective interferometer can be used for testing of optical parts like microprisms, laser crystals, fiber endings, etc. The interferometer is usable in vertical, horizontal or under oblique directions. This makes the instrument extremely versatile for use in customer specific applications. Further features are:
