RADIANTIS LAUNCHES THE ORIGIN SPECTROPHOTOMETER

Barcelona-based lasertech manufacturer Radiantis recently added a bright white light spectrophotometer to its expanding range of compact products. The Origin can be used independently or in combination with another of Radiantis’ products, the SeaWave spectrometer, to make a spectrophotometer by effectively delivering the sample light into the attached spectrometer.

 It was well received by both new and existing customers when it was exhibited and demonstrated at the recent BIOS EXPO 2015 and the Photonics West Fair in San Francisco.

 “The Origin is a compact and highly versatile spectrophotometer for use in reflection, transmission and absorption spectroscopy, without any changes to its layout,” said Radiantis CEO Sara Otero, who headed up the demonstration team in San Francisco.

 “As on-site demonstrations were able to show, the Origin has been built to handle solid, liquid and gas samples, in both in-line and off-line analysers.”

 For off-line analyser applications, the Origin incorporates a sample holder, which can be easily manipulated by the user to position the required sample. For in-line analysers, the sample holder can be replaced by an open path enabling the flow of production line samples.

 In combination with the SeaWave spectrometer, the Origin offers an extremely compact and cost-effective spectrometer for the IR range and being based on the SeaWave’s linear diode array technology, it has no-moving parts, rendering it a robust and highly stable product for a range of analysers.

A simple user-interface enables effective recording and comparison of the collected spectra. Linux and Windows software drivers are available for integration and OEM product development.
