17 Feb 2015 The LIDAR-Lite range of embeddable distance measurement modules targets the need for high performance, very compact distance measurement at a revolutionary price point. LIDAR-Lite modules are easily configurable, and can be used as basic building blocks for any application requiring a very small, low-power, high performance optical ranging sensor. Examples include collision avoidance, obstacle detection, presence detection, auto triggering and UAV height measurement. LIDARLite benefits from a new approach which applies signal reconstruction methods to optical rangefinders. The resulting single chip processing implementation uses programmable logic, which greatly reduces the cost of the module. LIDAR-Lite products range from 0-5m solutions with 1cm accuracy, which utilise an LED transmitter and Pin Diode receiver, through to 0-35m solutions which utilise Pulsed Laser Diodes at 905nm with Pin and APD receiver options.
